Sirajuddin Haqqani, after leading the suicide attack on the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul and taking responsibility for this attack, was wanted by the US Federal Police.
Six people, including an American, were killed in this attack.
The American Federal Police offered a $5 million reward for information leading to his arrest.
This prize reached ten million dollars when the name of the Haqqani network leader was included in the list of Taliban cabinet ministers.
Beth Van Schaak, representative of criminal justice and head of the US Office of Global Criminal Justice, said in a press conference that the reward for information leading to the arrest of the leader of the Haqqani network (Sirajuddin Haqqani) is still in place.
Beth Van Schaak also spoke about the prohibition of girls’ education and said, “The closing of school gates to girls is a cowardly act of the Taliban, and she added that in this regard we have a special representative who works to improve the situation of Afghanistani women.
She added that she sees the term gender apartheid being used in Afghanistan and does not have a position on this concept.
On the one hand, the US has a flexible policy with the Taliban, and on the other hand, the leader of the Haqqani network, who holds a key position among the Taliban group, is being pursued by the US Federal Police. The US is playing a double game in Afghanistan.
