According to local sources, the Taliban shot a former soldier in Balkh province.
Local sources added that the Taliban shot Faiz Askariar, the former deputy of the 8th police district, early this Thursday, September 7, in Mazar-i-Sharif city.
The Taliban have not yet commented on this matter.
It is said that Faiz Askariar was shot while he was going to work.
Sources said that he was not connected with any group or position and was a simple labourer.
Meanwhile, UNAMA published a report saying that since the Taliban came to power, 220 former employees and soldiers have been killed by this group.
