According to Southland Magazine, Republican candidate Jim Marter stated that he does not support aid to Afghanistan while the Taliban are running the country.
Southland magazine reported yesterday (Wednesday, September 6) that Jim Marter, one of the Republican candidates, demanded more transparency from Attherwood regarding Afghanistan.
He added that he wants Lauren Underwood to make a statement about his stance on aid to Afghanistan.
Jim added that while a group that marginalises women is involved in aid delivery, under no circumstances can we trust that aid will reach the hungry and those in need of medical care.
Jim asked Lauren Underwood to let her voters and the American people know if she would stand up to direct and indirect US aid to Afghanistan through the UN’s global humanitarian support.
He said that we should not give aid until we are sure that the money reaches the needy. Because this money is in the hands of terrorists.
