In response to the statements of Sirajuddin Haqqani, Mohammad Mohaghegh, the leader of the Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan, said that going to Afghanistan without a political agreement will not solve any problems.
He said in a conversation with VOC News today, September 8: This invitation is not new. They have requested this many times; however, going to Afghanistan without political negotiations and a grand agreement at the regional or global level will not solve the problem.
He added that the problem will not be solved until an interim government and clear elections are provided.
Mr. Mohaghegh’s statement was the response to Sirajuddin Haqqani’s statement during his trip to Bamyan that we want Karim Khalili and Mohammad Mohaghegh to return and live with dignity among their people.
However, so far, several former military commanders have returned to Kabul based on the invitation of the Commission for Contact with Afghanistan Personalities, but they were killed by members of this group.
