Neda Mohammad Nadim, the ministry of education for the Taliban, has said that the Taliban will not give up on even a tiny part of the Sharia at the request of the West, during his trip to Faryab.
O people of Faryab! Trust the Taliban and don’t get caught in the propaganda war of the enemy; we will not leave even a “part of Sharia” to the request of the “West”, he said in a public meeting in Faryab on September 19.
This is even though other Taliban officials have repeatedly mentioned in their statements that they need to interact with the world, especially the USA. Abbas Stanekzai, the political deputy of the Taliban’s foreign ministry, said recently that it is “obligatory” for America to return to this country to rebuild Afghanistan.
