Women’s Movement Towards Freedom, in response to Afghanistan’s empty seat in the 78th United Nations meeting, requested to recognise gender apartheid and stand by the women in Afghanistan.
The voice of Afghanistan women, who are affected by the current situation, is silent in this meeting, said Tahira Naseri, the head of this movement, in response to Afghanistan’s seat remaining empty in the 78th United Nations meeting on Wednesday, September 20.
Ms. Naseri stated that the world should know that the Taliban are not honest with women and the international community and violated the human rights of the Afghanistan people.
The Women’s Movement Towards Freedom is one of the protesting women’s movements that has been active inside and outside the country for some time now.
