Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban, said that the report of Richard Bennett, the special rapporteur on human rights in Afghanistan, is full of lies, and the Taliban do not pay any attention to it.
He added that Mr. Bennett’s report was biassed and one-sided, and none of his words had a logical or principled basis.
This reaction comes after Richard Bennett, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights for Afghanistan, said that the Taliban torture and rape women after arresting them.
He added that after August 15, 2021, the Taliban imposed the worst restrictions against women and removed women from all levels of power.
Mr. Bennett asked the Taliban to stop their discriminatory and anti-human behaviour and respect the human rights and human dignity of women.
