One of the former soldiers, Bismillah Turkman, was killed, according to local sources.
Local sources claimed that on Tuesday, June 20, the Taliban shot and killed Bismillah Turkman, a former Afghanistan army officer from Mardian city in the Jawzjan region, in front of his family.
According to sources, the Taliban only killed him because of his military background.
After the Taliban took control, the group’s leader declared a general amnesty. However, reports indicate that the systematic killing of soldiers and employees of the previous government continues. Similar risks exist for those who worked for military, civilian, and international organisations in Afghanistan.
