Local sources in Parwan said that a number of religious scholars have asked the Taliban to open the gates of girls’ schools for girls above the sixth grade.
Sources added that the religious scholars in Parwan province participated in the opening ceremony of a religious school and emphasised learning modern education in addition to religious education.
Haji Ehsan, one of the religious scholars, said in this ceremony that he requested the Taliban group as a citizen to open the gates of girls’ schools all over Afghanistan for girls.
Another religious scholar asked the Taliban to allow girls to study within the framework of Islamic Sharia.
According to sources, this religious school was built by a woman at a cost of nearly 30,000 US dollars and has a capacity of about 1,000 students.
