The Ministry of Information and Culture of the Taliban group has told all journalists in a new order that they must get a journalist’s card from this ministry.
The officials of this group said that the process of registration and distribution of cards for the country’s journalists has started.
The Taliban Ministry added that registered journalists are given a contact number that is active 24 hours a day, and they can call it whenever they encounter a problem.
The Taliban announced the distribution of cards to journalists while most of the free and independent media have left Afghanistan, and the rest of the media inside the country are forced to publish and broadcast the orders of this group.
On the other hand, so far, several journalists are in the prisons of this group, but no one knows about the charges against them. Mortaza Behboudi, a journalist of Hazara-French descent, has been in the custody of this group for more than six months.
