Richard Bennett, the UN special rapporteur on human rights in Afghanistan, has met with civil activists in Germany.
This meeting, which was organised by the “EUI” (eui.org or European University Studies Centre) to investigate the situation of asylum seekers in Germany, was attended by a number of civil activists, including Richard Bennett.
In this regard, Mr. Bennett wrote on his X page: I participated in a dialogue with Afghanistani civil society members in Germany hosted by @eui_org, including on the situation of Afghanistanis in Germany, their priorities as activists, and international politics regarding Afghanistan.
He further wrote: The participants emphasised that the situation in Afghanistan is a global responsibility.
It should be noted that Richard Bennett said in his recent report from Afghanistan that the situation of women under Taliban rule is extremely dire. He said that more than 200 women and children in Afghanistan died mysteriously after the Taliban took over.
